Charlotte, NC (June, 2017)MPV Properties (MPV) announces more tenants for Riverbend Village, the proposed 78,000 SF Harris Teeter-anchored shopping center in the Mountain Island Lake community of Northwest Charlotte. The mixed-use development, opening Spring/Summer of 2018, will contain 320,000 SF of retail space, 385,000 SF of office space and 600 residential units. Recently signed tenants to the center include:

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will occupy an outparcel at the center. Riverbend will be Freddy’s 5th location in the Charlotte Metro. Bill Moseley with Moseley Real Estate Advisors represents Freddy’s in the market.

Anytime Fitness will occupy a 6,000 SF freestanding building in the center. After opening Anytime Fitness in Kannapolis, franchisees James and Jody Sorey decided that Riverbend Village would be an ideal location for a twenty-four hour gym. “What differentiates Anytime Fitness from other clubs is our focus on helping members get the results that they’re seeking,” said James Sorey. “Our gym will be small enough that we can provide personalized attention for all of our members. Whether weight-loss is your goal, or increased strength or improved balanced and flexibility – or a combination – we’re committed to helping you achieve those goals.” Membership at one Anytime Fitness club gives members access to nearly 3,500 clubs worldwide at no extra cost. At the new club in Riverbend Village, members will have full use of top-quality equipment and amenities including circuit and resistance training machines and equipment, free weights, cardio machines, and private bathrooms with showers. Anytime Fitness will also offer personal training, team training, and a state-of-the-art video projection system that allows members to choose from dozens of video classes whenever it’s most convenient for them. Wild Wing Café will occupy a 7,070 SF free standing building along Smith Farm Road within the development. Wild Wing Café is the destination for “hot wings, cold beer and good times.” This will be their 4th corporate location in the greater Charlotte metro area. Founded in 1990 in Hilton Head, SC, Wild Wing Cafe began as a single restaurant featuring the homemade wild wing recipes of its two founders Cecil and Dianne Crowley. As the good times and great food grew in popularity within the Hilton Head community, the Crowleys expanded the brand, eventually offering franchise opportunities. In 2012, Axum Capital Partners purchased the company, and today, the Charlotte, NC-based Wild Wing Café operates 42 locations in eight states and is an unquestioned leader within its category in food quality, drinks (an extensive craft beer list) and its electrifying ambiance. TCBY has leased a 1,600 SF end-cap unit in front of Harris Teeter. Samuel Batt is the owner/operator and this will be his 17th location in the Charlotte market. Bryan Wyker with The Providence Group represents TCBY in the market.

The Dental Company will occupy 2,481 SF next to Dunkin’ Donuts in a multi-tenant outparcel building along Mt. Holly Huntersville Road. Former founding members of one of west coast’s leading dental groups have teamed up to form The Dental Company, a multi-specialty group of offices to service the Carolinas. “We are very excited to offer complete dental services in the new Riverbend development and be part of the synergy and the growth plan,” said Dr. Vic Dhillon. The Dental Company offers adult and children dentistry, including orthodontics. David Hidell with Gallant Properties represented the Tenant in the transaction.

Additional leases at Riverbend Village are being negotiated with a yoga studio, pizza restaurant, breakfast restaurant, pet supply store and veterinary hospital.
