Joey joined The Carolina Group in August 2008 after graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he earned bachelor's degrees in business administration and communication studies. Joey started his career in Wilmington, NC working for Zimmer Development Company.

Joey specializes in landlord representation throughout North and South Carolina. He has been involved in leasing neighborhood strip centers, free standing buildings, industrial space, and office projects. He also handles the firm's marketing responsibilities, including property flyers, website updates and designing maps for potential developments. Joey is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds broker licenses in North and South Carolina.

A sports enthusiast, Joey plays soccer and tennis competitively in the Charlotte area, and enjoys golf during his free time.
