Charlotte, NC (May, 2017) – Partners at K&H Development and MPV Properties (MPV) recently closed on 3.28 acres at 13425 South Tryon Street in Charlotte’s Steele Creek community. The Partnership recently obtained re-zoning approval from Charlotte City Council to develop 80,000 SF of state-of-the-art climate controlled self-storage space on the property. The storage facility will consist of two 2-story buildings and approximately 500 storage units. The design and scale of the development will be in keeping with the neighborhood, with architecture focused on a shop storefront style characterized by brick inset and glass facades.

“We believe that the proposed project will fill the climatized storage need of the rapidly growing Rivergate/Steel Creek communities located around the Highway 160 and South Tryon intersection. We are excited to be partnering with K&H Development on the development, who has significant experience with similar storage projects across the region,” says George Macon with MPV.

George Macon and Mark Newell, also with MPV, represented the buyer in this transaction. The project will break ground this summer with an anticipated completion of spring 2018.
